One arrested in scooty theft case in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, June 30: Police apprehended Raja Prasad, a resident of Jharkhand Basti, in connection with the recent theft of a scooty from the Karandih area under Parsudih police station. Acting on information provided by Raja, police recovered the stolen scooty from near his residence on Saturday. Following his arrest, Raja Prasad was remanded to judicial custody. Police station in-charge Faiz Akram noted that the scooty, belonging to Jasbir Singh of Khasmahal, was reported stolen on June 21. Subsequent investigation, aided by CCTV footage, led to the identification and arrest of Raja Prasad, who had a history of previous theft convictions and had recently been released from jail.
