One arrested for raping physically challenged woman near Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, May 17: A 31 year-old physically challenged woman was allegedly raped in Kandidungri forest of Gudabanda police station area. She was also allegedly beaten and injured by the accused who threatened her against telling anyone about the incident, police said.

Cops have arrested the accused, identified as Durga Tudu, resident of a neighbouring village.

According to the officer in-charge of Gudabanda PS, the victim had gone to the forest to bring firewood. Just then, the accused caught her from behind and raped her. The accused also thrashed the victim and threatened her, cops said.
