Olympics selection contest: 50 East Singhbhum children leave for Ranchi

Jamshedpur, March 15: A delegation of 50 children from East Singhbhum district on Wednesday left for Ranchi to participate in a talent search competition being organized by the Tourism, Art, Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs Department of the state government.

The selection process will take place on Thursday. Sources said the department was running the campaign all over the state with the view to select sporting talents for the Olympics.

Those selected in the competition will be prepared by the department for the Olympics. The delegation was seen off by the Executive Magistrate Anita Karketta.

The delegation includes 35 boys and 15 girls. The district administration had arranged for a bus to send the children to Ranchi.
