Jamshedpur: Members of city-based NGO, Voice of Humanity, rescued a 90 year old woman allegedly deserted by her family members near Nirmal Hridayanand Old Age Home at Baradwari late Thursday night. The nonagenarian was found sitting beside a dustbin in front of the old age home. She reportedly bore head injury and was unable to walk on her own. She was noticed by Voice of Humanity members who took the woman to MGM Hospital for surgery and treatment. She was given food by the NGO members and later admitted in the government hospital. Speaking in Bengali, the woman said she was brought to the old age home by her relatives who disappeared after dropping her.
The NGO members said they were trying to identify the old woman and trace her relatives.
