Jamshedpur: Frustration and discontent among Ola customers reached a boiling point on Friday outside the Ola showroom near the muddy tank under the jurisdiction of Bistupur police station in Jamshedpur. Incensed customers took matters into their own hands, forcefully closing the shutters of the showroom in protest. In response to the escalating situation, Bistupur police swiftly arrived at the scene to gather information and assess the situation.
One Ola customer, Ajay Kumar, shared his ordeal, stating that he purchased an Ola scooter in January with several promises made during the purchase. However, in October, the scooter unexpectedly broke down. Despite calling the company for prompt towing assistance, his scooter was picked up the next day. Subsequent visits to the service center were met with excuses, and even after 55 days, his scooter remains unrepaired.
Another disgruntled customer revealed that his scooter has been languishing in the service center for 80 days without any resolution. Frustrated by unmet promises and delays, customers gathered at the showroom demanding prompt and effective solutions. They vowed not to allow the showroom to open until their scooters are adequately repaired. Despite the unrest, the management has chosen to remain silent on the matter.
