Seraikela, Oct 18: On the second day of Ma Mansa Puja being organized in Jagannathpur (Navadih) in Seraikela block, a Odiya play, ‘Dukh Dei Gola Daridi Bandhu’ was presented before a large audience who lauded the presentation. The actors performed exceedingly well that impressed one and all. The play was written and directed by SK Palit. The actors who put in excellent performances to grab audience interest included Basudev Pradhan, Bulbul Pradhan, Satyavan Pradhan, Pancham Pradhan, Rajiv Kumar, Bhagirathi Pradhan, Yudhishthir, Tapas and Vishwanath.
Artistes honored
Veteran performing artistes were honoured during the second day of Ma Mansa Puja. The artistes who were honoured were Krishna Kumar Pradhan, Makardhwaj Pradhan, Sudarshan Pradhan, Sanjeev Pradhan, Hari Sardar, Jitendra Pradhan, Gunadhar Behera, Hemant Pradhan and Sukhram Pradhan, who were felicitated by the priest and presented angvastram. Devidutt Pradhan conducted the program. The artiste3s and organizers were unanimous in the decision to organize an annual drama in Odiya language to propagate the rich culture of Odisha and the Odiya community.
