Jamshedpur, Oct 18: Mango Municipal Corporation (MMC) Special Officer Dipak Sahay issued orders in the course of a meeting to clean and repair all Chhat Ghats along the Swarnrekha River bank prior to the onset of the religious ceremony. Officers and employees of MMC were given responsibilities of repairing the Chhat Ghats, leveling of the areas, proper lighting and repair along the roads leading to the Ghats, provision of drinking water, change enclosures, barricading danger zones along the river and removing shrub and wild plant growth. The work will commence from Tuesday, October 19. All MMC officers and employees have been directed to inspect the Chhat Ghats and get them readied inclusive of safety and comfort measures for devotees.
The MMC teams were asked to ensure spraying of disinfectants at the Chhat Ghats. The officials were directed by the MMC Special Officer to implement all COVID-19 protocols at the Chhat Ghats. All devotees and visitors would have to wear masks and maintain physical distancing.
Those present in the meeting chaired by Dipak sahay included City Managers Jitendra Kumar, Rahul Kumar, Nishant Kumar, Dineshwar Yadav, CMM Nirmal Kumar, Assistant Engineer Santosh Kumar, Junior Engineer Nandu Kumar, Subodh Kumar Das, office staff members Kumar Anshuman and Rajesh Kumar.
