OBC Front’s crucial role in NDA’s victory in Jharkhand

Jamshedpur: The Other Backward Classes (OBC) Front played a pivotal role in the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) success in nine Lok Sabha constituencies in Jharkhand and in improving performance across five additional constituencies. Under the leadership of Amardeep Yadav, State President of the BJP Backward Caste Front, a comprehensive campaign was executed over the past two months. This campaign saw state office bearers, district officials, and divisional workers engage with voters at the grassroots level across 81 assembly constituencies.

The outreach efforts included a variety of engagement strategies such as social conferences, youth dialogues, street corner meetings, door-to-door pamphlet distribution, hostel public relations, and press conferences. The use of social media also played a significant role in communicating the Modi government’s schemes and initiatives aimed at benefiting backward classes over the past decade. These efforts highlighted the reservations provided to students in various entrance examinations, targeting both urban and rural voters.

On directives from BJP OBC Morcha National President Dr. K Laxman, Jharkhand BJP State President Babulal Marandi, and State Organization General Secretary Karmaveer Singh, the OBC Morcha mobilized its workers into small groups. These groups effectively disseminated the party’s ideology and the central government’s schemes across more than 18,000 villages through large assembly-level conferences and smaller, localized meetings.

Amardeep Yadav personally visited 11 of the 14 Lok Sabha constituencies and 53 of the 81 assembly constituencies over a span of 90 days. He participated in various programs and meetings at the district, division, power center, and booth levels. Accompanied by state vice-president Ishwar Chandra Prajapati, state general secretary Hardhar Narayan Shah, Chaudhary Mahato, state minister Ajay Sharma, and other officials, Yadav’s team worked diligently to communicate Narendra Modi’s public welfare schemes, vision, and efforts towards India’s development.

The extensive groundwork laid by the OBC Front has been instrumental in consolidating the NDA’s position in Jharkhand, showcasing the significant impact of targeted grassroots political campaigns.
