Nuvoco�s Jojobera Cement Plant celebrates Quality Month

Jamshedpur: In line with Nuvoco�s thrust on Quality, Jojobera Cement Plant (JCP) inaugurated Quality Month, a month long celebration of Quality events. The inauguration was done by Manoj Agrawal, Senior Vice President, JCP, by hosting the Quality flag in presence of all officers and employees.

The objective of celebrating Quality Month is to inculcate and improve Quality in each and every facet of the organization even in small areas. Improvement in product quality, process and system are pre-requisites for any organization to grow and that is the reason Quality is one of the three pillars in Nuvoco along with Innovation and Trust.

The theme for this year�s Quality Month is �Housekeeping� based on Japanese concept of 5S which is Sort, Set In order, Shine, Standardize and Sustain in order t keep the plant neat and clean. Speaking during the launch, Agrawal said, �The purpose of celebrating Quality Month is to promote awareness of quality to encourage development. Quality, along with Trust, Innovation and Safety, are the pillars of our organisation. We need to make quality a demand driven rather than a supply driven commodity. We expect that by participating in the World Quality Month, you would help in promoting Quality in all activities within the organization, resulting in a cascade effect and this initiative will develop soon as a mission in India.�

To commemorate the month, Jojobera Plant will be undertaking different initiatives including Online Quiz, essay writing, Internal IMS Audit, training on Environment Legislations, housekeeping audit amongst others and many such programmes for employees, contractual employees and other stakeholders.
