Jamshedpur: Nuvoco Vistas Corp Limited conducted an extensive fogging drive in multiple panchayats around its Jojobera cement plant to prevent mosquito-borne and hygiene-related diseases such as dengue, malaria, diarrhea, filaria and jaundice. The initiative was carried out under the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program with support from local representatives.
Fogging was conducted across all panchayats of Govindpur and Gadra, including Chhota Govindpur, Gadra, Sarjamda and Jojobera. Additionally, bleaching powder was distributed to public representatives in 13 surrounding panchayats to support disease prevention during monsoon and post-monsoon seasons.
Company officials stated that Nuvoco remains committed to improving community health and quality of life in areas surrounding its manufacturing facilities. The CSR initiatives undertaken by the Jojobera plant over the past year have strengthened its engagement with local communities.
Several panchayat representatives, including mukhiyas and panchayat samiti members, expressed gratitude to Nuvoco for its continued support in maintaining public health and sanitation.
