Nurse staying in live-in relationship murdered inside her flat in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Jan 1: The body of a nurse was recovered from a residential apartment in Ramnagar Road Number -3 area under Kadma thana on Thursday late night.

The body was recovered from a flat in the third floor of the Jayanti Apartment and after getting information the police took the body under custody and sent it for post mortem and started investigation.

The body of the nurse has been identified as Anita Kumari, who was employed with Brahmanand Narayan Hrudyalaya at Tamolia in Chandil sub-division.

According to police, there was an attempt made to burn the body of the woman. The body was first noticed by Arvind Kumar who used to stay with the nurse as a live-in relation. In his statement to the police, Arvind said that he used to stay in Bagbera and had been staying with Anita for the last six years and had last met her on Wednesday and on Thursday night at around 10.30 pm when he reached the flat, it was locked from outside and since he had another key of the flat he opened the door to enter inside and found Anita body lying with her face down. There were injury marks on her face too.

The live-in partner then informed the police and also the neighbours.

Meanwhile, police have taken possession of the mobile of the woman live-in partner  and also the mobile of the deceased woman. Police claim that the murder has been committed by someone close to the woman.

A murder case has been registered at Kadma thana on the basis of statement by the deceased woman’s brother Manoj Kumar Sharma against unidentified persons.
