NTA urges NEET UG 2026 candidates to update bank details by July 7 for refund

New Delhi (IANS): The National Testing Agency (NTA) has asked NEET UG 2026 candidates to update or confirm their bank account details by July 7 to avoid missing out on their fee refunds.

According to the agency, 8,29,510 eligible candidates have verified their banking information on the official portal so far. The strict deadline to complete the verification closes on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 11:50 p.m.

Refund Rollout Already Underway

The NTA confirmed that it has already begun disbursing funds to candidates who successfully verified their accounts. Those who update their details before tomorrow’s midnight deadline will automatically enter the next phase of disbursements.

“Refunds have already started for candidates who have confirmed their bank account details. If your details need to be updated, you can do so until July 7, 2026, on the official NTA portal,” the agency stated.

How to Claim Your Refund

To secure the fee refund for the medical entrance exam held on May 3, 2026, candidates must execute the following steps:

1. Visit the official portal at neet.nta.nic.in.
2. Click the link: ‘Final Opportunity to Confirm/Update Bank Account Details for NEET (UG) 2026 Fee Refund’.
3. Log in using registration credentials to access the candidate dashboard.
4. Review, correct, and submit the bank details (Account Number, IFSC Code, and Account Holder Name).
5. Download and save the final confirmation page for future reference.

No Further Modifications Allowed

The NTA cautioned that it will treat the submitted information as absolute and final. Because the agency will reject any modification requests after the July 7 cutoff, officials urge candidates to meticulously double-check all account numbers and routing codes before clicking submit.
