NSUI Protests Student’s Tragic Death, Secures Agreement for Compensation and Employment

Dhanbad: In response to the untimely demise of student Muskaan, the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) staged a protest on Saturday, blocking the road near the main gate of Dhanbad Public School by placing Muskaan’s body. The demonstration resulted in a complete halt of school bus movements for approximately three hours, drawing attention to the tragic incident.
Under the pressure exerted by the NSUI student organization, discussions were initiated with the school management to address the concerns raised by the protestors. Gopal Krishna Choudhary, NSUI District President, informed that during the talks, an agreement was reached regarding employment opportunities and financial assistance for the dependents of the deceased student.
As part of the agreement, discussions included providing employment to the deceased student’s mother within the school premises. Additionally, an arrangement was made to offer financial assistance amounting to Rs 51,000 for the funeral rites.
The protest, which saw the active participation of NSUI District Vice President Ravi Paswan, District General Secretary Rohit Pathak, PK Rai College President Raj Ranjan Singh, Jaiprakash Yadav, Sohail Ali, Aman Prasad, Mohit Kumar, and several others, highlighted the urgency and gravity of the situation.
It is noteworthy that the tragic incident occurred on Friday when Muskan, a college student en route to tuition, lost her life in a collision with a Dhanbad Public School bus.
