Jamshedpur: A delegation from the Navachar Research Incubation and Innovation Council (NRIIC) recently held high-level talks with senior Government of India officials to accelerate Jharkhand’s startup and industrial growth. Under the “Jharkhand to Bharat” initiative, the team aimed to secure national support for regional entrepreneurs.
Strengthening Tier-2 and Tier-3 Cities
The delegation met Sanjiv Singh (Joint Secretary, DPIIT), a key driver of the Startup India mission. They discussed strategies to bring capital, mentorship, and infrastructure to Jharkhand’s smaller cities and aspirational districts, ensuring local startups can compete on a national level.
Bridging Policy and Practice
The team also consulted Himani Pandey (Additional Secretary, DPIIT), leveraging her previous experience in Jharkhand’s administration. The NRIIC presented its on-ground incubation efforts and youth engagement programs, seeking to align state-level growth with national policy frameworks.
Investing in the Future
In a meeting with Shruti Singh (AVP, Invest India), NRIIC proposed a strategic industrial corridor to link Jharkhand more effectively to national supply chains. This plan aims to:
-
Attract innovation-driven investment.
-
Leverage the state’s manufacturing strengths.
-
Create large-scale regional employment.
NRIIC Directors Amar Nath Singh and Kartik Choudhary emphasized that these collaborations are vital to unlocking Jharkhand’s industrial potential. These engagements place the state firmly on India’s national map for innovation and economic growth.
