‘Snow Storm’ to open at PM Mall on Sep 27
Jamshedpur, September 25: The steel city is gearing up for a unique winter experience with the inauguration of its first-ever indoor snow park, Snow Storm, on the second floor of PM Mall, Bistupur, on September 27. The facility will be inaugurated by RK Agarwal and promises to bring the magic of Switzerland and Kashmir right into the heart of Jamshedpur.
Speaking at a press meet at a hotel in Bistupur on Thursday, Shalimar A.I., Managing Director of Silverstorm Amusement Parks, said the snow park spans 6,000 sq. ft. and has been specially designed to recreate a snowy wonderland with temperatures dropping as low as –10°C. “The venue is a family-friendly entertainment zone combining adventure, leisure, and scenic backdrops for visitors of all ages. Our timings will be from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm,” he said.
Shalimar added that Snow Storm is the company’s first project outside Kerala, and Jamshedpur was chosen due to its cultural diversity and the limited entertainment options available in the city. A total of 40 staff members, including 20 from Shillong, will manage the facility.
The snow park will feature a variety of attractions, including snow slides and tubing tracks for thrill-seekers, a DJ dance rink with live beats in a snowfall-like atmosphere, and dedicated snow play zones for children. Visitors can also enjoy cozy igloos, family rides like a merry-go-round, birthday celebrations, pre- and post-wedding photoshoots, and scenic photo backdrops, making the experience memorable.
For visitor comfort and safety, winter jackets, gloves, and gumboots will be provided with every ticket, and wearing socks has been made compulsory. Socks will also be available for purchase at the park counter. Officials assured that the facility is being maintained with strict hygiene and safety standards.
Shalimar further revealed that Snow Storm is just the beginning, with plans to open another snow park in Lucknow in the near future.
Conveniently located inside PM Mall, Bistupur, the snow park will complement the mall’s shopping and dining options, creating a one-stop destination for families, couples, and groups of friends. With ample parking and supporting facilities, the park is expected to become a major attraction in the city.
Organizers emphasized that Snow Storm is not just an entertainment zone but a complete day-out experience filled with fun, laughter, and adventure. The tagline, “Feel the chill, live the thrill—only at Snow Storm!” reflects the spirit of Jamshedpur’s coolest new destination.
