Notice to encroaching shopkeepers

Jamshedpur, July 17. Action has been started against encroaching shopkeepers on the roadside between Galudih NH-18 chowk to Kesharpur.

In all 20 shopkeepers were summoned from the zonal office on Monday on charges of encroachment. On July 15, the Zonal Officer had issued notices to all the encroachers and directed them to present themselves physically in the office to present their case. The shopkeepers who reached the office told that due to rain, plastic has been placed in front of the shop to protect the goods from water.

The pavement has not been encroached on in any way. All the shopkeepers have submitted their side in writing to Circle Officer Rajeev Kumar.

Rajeev Kumar said that action will be taken against those who commit any kind of encroachment on the roadside, otherwise remove the encroachment themselves as soon as possible, otherwise the administration will have to forcefully remove the encroachment. In such a situation, whatever expenses will be incurred for the removal of the encroachment will be recovered from the encroachment only.
