Jamshedpur, July 17: Taking major action, Kolhan DIG has send Chandil police station in-charge Ajit Kumar to police barrack.
It may be noted that on the instructions of the DIG, an illegal mini liquor factory operating in Chandil was found recently. In the investigation of the DIG, the role of station in-charge Ajit Kumar was found suspicious, after which this action has been taken.
Kolhan DIG Ajay Linda had directed the Superintendent of Police of Seraikela Kharsawan district to take departmental action against Chandil police station in-charge.
Kolhan DIG Ajay Linda had received a secret information that an illegal liquor factory was being operated in Dalma area in Birigoda, Chandil. After getting the information, he formed a special raiding team. After investigation, the special raiding team raided on the evening of 14th July along with Excise Department and Sub-Divisional Police Officer and station in-charge of Chandil. During this the illegal liquor factory was busted.
During the raid, the police recovered 1100 cases of liquor from the said place. Along with this, seven people were arrested. A case has been registered against 15 people in this matter.
