Jamshedpur, October 17: To manage the expected surge in traffic during the Diwali festival, the Jamshedpur Police have implemented a special traffic plan restricting the movement of heavy vehicles.
From October 18 to 19 (Dhanteras), heavy vehicles except buses will be prohibited from entering city roads between 3:00 PM and 1:00 AM. Similarly, on Diwali (October 20), no heavy vehicles will be allowed from 6:00 AM on October 20 to 6:00 AM on October 21.
This directive was jointly issued by Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi, Senior Superintendent of Police Piyush Pandey and Traffic DSP Nijar Kumar. The police have urged citizens and transport operators to cooperate to ensure smooth and safe traffic flow during the festive period.
