No Covid death, 172 new cases in Jamshedpur  

Jamshedpur, Jan 30: Jamshedpur on Sunday reported zero Covid-19 deaths after one day gap.  

City recorded 172 fresh Covid-19 cases while 404 people recovered of the infection in the same period.

New infections on Sunday pushed the overall caseload to 67,379.

The death toll remained at 1132, the health bulletin said.

According to East Singhbhum Covid-19 medical bulletin, as many as 404 people have walked out of healthcare facilities aggregating 64642 and leaving 1605 active infections.

The number of samples tested today was at 5792 pushing the cumulative number of specimens examined so far to 2238357 till date.

Jamshedpur’s positivity rate – the number of people testing positive for every 100 tests – was 3.20 percent with the latest addition in cases. 6835 samples were tested on Friday.

The positivity rate came down to 2.97 per cent in Jamshedpur.

The cumulative coronavirus case count stands at 67379 and the death count is now 1132, according to the latest health bulletin.

5792 COVID-19 tests, including 1436 RT-PCR, 4120 RAT and 236 TrueNat were conducted in the last 24 hours in the city.

East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 839054 test per million in the district. The recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 96.18% while the mortality rate is 1.68%.

So far in Jamshedpur 2238357 samples have been collected out of which 2233562 have been tested and 2166183 have turned out to be negative.
