Jamshedpur, Dec. 17: No COVID-19 death has been reported in the East Singhbhum district in the last ten days as the death toll remains at 374. On Thursday, East Singhbhum district reported 32 corona positive cases while 32 people recovered of the virus.
The new positives in Jamshedpur took the Coronavirus tally to 17224. 32 people recovered of the virus on Thursday taking the total recovery to 16642 while total active cases in Jamshedpur are 208.
East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 161540 test per million in the district. The recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 97% while the mortality rate is 2.2 %.
So far in Jamshedpur 438565 samples have been collected out of which 430019 have been tested and 412795 have turned out to be negative.
The Coronavirus tally in the state on Thursday reached to 1,12,332 as 211 cases of Covid-19 were detected across 18 districts of Jharkhand. During the day 3 deaths were reported including two from Ranchi and 1 from Dhanbad district as a result of which the overall death count has reached to 1007.
The mortality rate among the patients currently stands at 0.89 per cent. As per the information provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state was 1,629 while several cured and discharged cases stood at 1,09,696.
The total number of death caused by Coronavirus in the state stood at 1007. On Thursday a maximum number of 99 cases were found in Ranchi followed by 32 in East Singhbhum, 23 in Bokaro, 13 in Hazaribagh and 8 in Palamu (top five districts).
A total of 164 people were also cured and discharged from various dedicated Covid-19 facilities during the day including 80 from Ranchi, 32 from East Singhbhum, 10 from Bokaro, 6 each from Ramgarh and Deoghar and 5 each from Dumka and Jamtara districts.
Despite the rampant rise in Coronavirus cases across the state the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has improved significantly and has once gone above 97 per cent mark to currently stand at 97.65 per cent in Jharkhand. So far in the state 45,86,827 samples have been collected out of which 45,71,733 have been tested and 44,59,401 have turned out to be negative.
