NIT Jamshedpur hosts workshop on Nano-Robots Development

Jamshedpur : NIT Jamshedpur recently conducted a seven-day workshop focusing on the ‘Development of Nano-Robots and their Potential Applications.’ The workshop, sponsored by SERB (DST GoI), aimed to impart knowledge on the latest advancements in Nano-robotics and their diverse applications across various fields.

Over 30 students from final year B. Tech, M. Tech, and PhD programs representing different institutes across India were selected to participate in the workshop. Dr. Rinku Kumar Gouda, Dr. Arvind Patel, Dr. KSK Sudhanshu, and Dr. Shailesh Kumar Jha made notable contributions in organizing the event.

Siddharth Roy of Tata Steel was the chief guest. Professor Gautam Sutradhar, Director of NIT Jamshedpur, encouraged the organizing committee and urged faculty members to continue organizing such workshops in future. Deputy Director Professor R V Sharma motivated students to actively engage in the workshop.

During the event, Professor M K Sinha, Dean of R&D, presented a brief on the institute’s research activities. Professor Sanjay, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, highlighted the department’s development initiatives and commended the organizing committee’s efforts.

The workshop, hosted by the Department of Mechanical Engineering at NIT Jamshedpur, featured participants and expert speakers from institutions including IISc, IITs, NITs, and other renowned establishments across the country. The program concluded with the rendition of the National Anthem.
