NIT Jamshedpur hosts Science Innovation Camp with focus on creativity and research

Jamshedpur, September 18: The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur organized a Science Innovation Camp, sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. Dr. Dev Kumar Chakraborty, former Professor of Design at IIT Guwahati, was the Chief Guest, while Dr. S.K. Singh, Chairman of B.Ed. College, was the Special Guest.

In his inaugural address, event coordinator Prof. Satish Kumar emphasized the importance of innovation and creativity in science. Around 160 students from nearby colleges and schools participated. Dr. Chakraborty highlighted advancements in engineering and science, urging students to pursue learning with dedication. Dr. S.K. Singh encouraged entrepreneurial ideas and the significance of research, while Prof. M. Hasan spoke on the role of the Indian knowledge system in education.

The camp concluded with Prof. Sanjay, Head of the Department, providing insights into NIT Jamshedpur’s advanced research facilities and inspiring students to engage in innovation and research. Prof. Satish praised the event for fostering scientific knowledge and collaboration.
