Jamshedpur, August 29: The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur, in association with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), organized an Industry–Academia Interaction Meet on Thursday to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry.
The program was chaired by Prof. Goutam Sutradhar, Director, NIT Jamshedpur, who emphasized the need for strong partnerships between higher educational institutions and industries to promote innovation, enhance employability, and foster entrepreneurship.
Prof. Satish Kumar, Dean (Research & Consultancy), presented an overview of the institute’s research facilities and highlighted its major achievements.
Representatives from leading industries in sectors such as steel, manufacturing, information technology, and consulting participated in the meet. Senior CII officials underlined the importance of continuous dialogue between industry and academia to accelerate research translation, incubation, internships, curriculum enhancement as per industry requirements, and collaborative projects.
All Deans, including Prof. Amresh Kumar and Prof. Prabha Chand, were also present and contributed valuable inputs during the discussions.
The CII delegation assured full support to NIT Jamshedpur in advancing skill development, capacity building, and research initiatives, paving the way for significant contributions to the region’s industrial and economic growth.
