Baharagora: Police arrested nine persons including five women on charges of involvement in immoral activities from a red light area in Baharagora on Sunday. The accused persons were caught in compromising situation, police said.
Cops seized cash worth Rs 25,000, contraceptives and several aphrodisiacs from the possession of the accused persons.
Sources said a police team led by SDPO of Ghatsila Rajendra Dubey conducted the raid in the afternoon.
According to police, a similar raid was conducted in August 2016 by the former OC of Baharagora PS Uttam Kumar Tiwary. Several people were arrested then. But the immoral activities have continued till date.
