Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato and Potka MLA Menka Sardar laid the foundation stones of nine development projects in Potka on Friday. The projects would be executed in different villages of Potka block.
In his address, the MP said the Central and state governments were implementing various projects and schemes with the view to improve the quality and standard of living of the rural masses. The Central and state governments are building basic infrastructure in rural areas to ensure better transportation and irrigation facilities for farmers and the people in general, said Mahato.
The Potka MLA said many projects worth several crores were being run in her constituency. Very soon, every village of Potka would be developed, she said.
A large number of villagers were present on the occasion. They included Chandrawati Mahato, Sanjeev Sardar, Heeramani Murmu, Sitaram Hansda and Mahadev Pal.
