BJP leaders seek police security for Baharagora event

Jamshedpur: District BJP leaders have sought police security to ensure smooth and peaceful conduct of Bhagwan Birsa Munda�s martyrdom day celebrations scheduled to be held on 9th June in Baharagora. The event would be held at Sidhu Kanhu Birsa Club in Bargariya panchayat.

The BJP leaders alleged that the local JMM activists were trying to put obstructions in their way to play spoilsport during the event. They said the local MLA Kunal Sarangi and his supporters were putting pressure on the local administration officials to stop the BJP leaders form organizing the event.

District BJP president Dinesh Kumar said the JMM leaders were insulting Bhagwan Birsa Munda by obstructing the programme. He led a delegation of BJP leaders to meet the East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar on Friday. He demanded adequate security arrangements at the programme venue.
Among those present during the meeting included Kulwant Singh Bunty, Soumitra Kumar Ghosh, Mahendra Singh, Nandlal Munda, Vikram Kisku and Mangal Munda.
