Jamshedpur, July 30: Nikita Mehta formally took over as the new President of Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Steel City during a function held at a city hotel on Friday.
Nikita Mehta, the 28th President of the club was handed over the presidential collar by immediate past President of the club Jalpa Parikh.
The new president Nikita Mehta joined Rotary in 2017 and has been very active member in running various projects at club level and has bagged several awards at district level.
Later, addressing the gathering, Nikita Mehta said, “Jalpa Parikh has taken the club to greater heights during one of the toughest years in the history of mankind. I will continue with the work done by my predecessors for the benefit of the society.”
For the first time in history of Rotary Clubs of Jamshedpur 12 District Governors (Past, Current & Elected) attended the installation ceremony.
Chief Guest for the occasion Past Rotary International Director Kamal Sanghvi, appreciated the social work done by the club under the able leaderships.
District Governor Sanjeev Thakur in his motivational speech set vision for the year 2022-23.
The new working committee consists of Secretary Umang Jhunjhunwala, Joint Secretary Garvita Taunk, Treasurer Krishna Kharia. On the occasion Club inducted nine new members.
