NHES: Underprivileged students honoured on Youth Day

Jamshedpur, January 16: Narbheram Hansraj English School (NHES) celebrated National Youth Day to mark the 162nd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. The event aimed to inspire and honour the youth as torchbearers of the nation’s rich cultural heritage.

The occasion was graced by Nakul Kamani, President of the School Managing Committee, and Chandrakant Zatakia, Treasurer of the Managing Committee.

This year’s theme for National Youth Day, “Arise, Awake and Realize the Power You Hold,” emphasized youth empowerment and encouraged young individuals to harness their potential for the nation’s progress and prosperity.

The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, accompanied by a Surya Namaskar performance. A short skit portraying significant incidents from Swami Vivekananda’s life followed, captivating the audience with its message.

As a gesture of kindness, 37 underprivileged students from Nursery and Lower Kindergarten were presented with gifts from the NHES fraternity. The event also featured a motivational poem and a spiritual song performed by the students, adding a cultural touch to the celebrations.

Additionally, a thought-provoking debate on the topic “The Relevance of Purity, Patience, and Perseverance—Vivekananda’s Message to Youth in Today’s Changing Scenario” was presented by students, sparking meaningful discussions.
