Jamshedpur, April 20: A fire safety awareness session was conducted at Narbheram Hansraj English School (NHES) on Monday to mark National Fire Service Week, observed from April 14 to 20. The programme was part of a nationwide initiative aimed at promoting fire safety and preparedness among the public.
This year’s theme, “Safe School, Safe Hospital & Fire Safety Aware Society – Together for Fire Prevention,” highlights the shared responsibility of institutions and communities in preventing fire hazards.
The session was organized by the Tata Steel Fire Brigade with the objective of educating students about basic fire safety measures and reducing the risk of loss of life and property during fire incidents. Students were made aware of essential safety practices and emergency response strategies.
A live demonstration of first-aid fire-fighting equipment was also conducted, giving students practical knowledge on handling fire emergencies. The demonstration included the correct use of fire extinguishers and other safety tools.
The session was led by experts Ritesh Ranjan Jha, D.N. Mahato, and Abhishek Baghel, who shared valuable insights with the students.
