NHES Alumni donates monitor to promote digital learning in Odia School

With alumni support, we’re embracing digital learning: Principal Suman Sarkar

Jamshedpur, July 12: In a meaningful gesture towards enhancing digital education, the Narbheram Hansraj English School (NHES) Alumni Connect donated an LCD monitor to Odia Middle School, Mango on Saturday. The donation aims to assist students in accessing the government’s J-Guruji app and shift from traditional to modern learning methods.

The school, which has 80 students from economically weaker backgrounds, had requested three monitors to fully implement its digital learning program. The contribution by NHES Alumni will help bridge this gap and improve the school’s digital infrastructure.

Suman Sarkar, Principal of the government-aided school, warmly welcomed the NHES alumni and expressed his gratitude. “From the core of my heart, I welcome you all to Mango Odia Middle School. Your noble gesture shows how much you care for government school children. They truly need this kind of support,” he said.

He added, “We have mostly followed the chalk-and-duster method till now. But with your help, we can move beyond that and adopt digital learning. Even the government is supporting us, and with your cooperation, I can now offer the best possible education to my students.”

Sarkar also highlighted the significance of the J-Guruji app, developed by the Department of School Education and Literacy, Government of Jharkhand. “It provides interactive, syllabus-aligned content and supports both live and recorded classes for students from primary to secondary levels,” he explained.

The NHES alumni present at the event included Ashish Gupta, Vikas Kedia, Balaji Patel, Tarveen Bhatia, Bhawana Patel, Dhaval Bhagat, Jasmeet, and Anup Mishra. . Speaking on the occasion, the group shared a unified message: “Small differences can make big changes.”
