Jamshedpur: Brahman Yuva Shakti Sangh leader Appu Tiwary on Sunday demanded the arresting of two senior officials of a Govindpur-based company for allegedly attempting to rape a woman.
In a press statement issued today, Tiwary alleged that the local police had driven away the victim who had gone to the police station to lodge an FIR against the accused duo. When the victim failed to get police help, she sent a legal notice to the accused persons through her advocate. No reply to the notice has been received as yet, Tiwary said.
Tiwary said the alleged incident dates back to 28th March last when the victim, a teacher, was called to the company by the accused persons. After locking the chamber from inside, the accused persons attempted to rape the victim. Later, the accused threatened the victim and forced her to write a resignation letter, alleged Tiwary.
Tiwary claimed the victim had approached him for help. He said the outfit will not sit quietly. Very soon, a delegation of the outfit would meet the SSP to seek action against the accused persons.
