Newborn rescued from roadside bush in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, May 11: A newborn was found crying in a roadside bush by a passerby on the side of the Rajnagar Road in Titirbila village.

A youth was passing by on a bicycle along the road between 8 pm and 8:30 pm on Sunday when he heard the crying of a child emanating from the bush. Being curious, he went to the spot and was surprised to see a newborn child in the bush. He informed the Titirbila villagers who rushed to the spot. Amidst all talk, the Saraikela police station. The police along with health department personnel arrived at the spot and took the child away. The child was found to be normal and healthy. The same night, the baby was sent to MGM Hospital for better and advanced checkup. The lady doctor Dr Mika Singh who checked the child said that the baby was perfectly normal and weighed 2.25 kilos. She stated that the baby was born about two hours before it was discovered. The district and police administrations are planning to hand the child over to Bal Kalyan Samiti. According to information the administration offices are receiving many calls by people who want to adopt the child.
