Jamshedpur, September 13. Panchayat samiti member Sunil Gupta and JMM Bagbera unit president Ajit Sinha met executive engineer of Drinking Water and Sanitation Department Sumit Kumar on repeated burning of motors in both the pump houses of Bistupur and Bagbera Colony under the Baghbera Housing Colony Water Supply Scheme for the last several years.
Executive engineer Sumit Kumar informed that the estimated amount of the new motor pump set is ready.
In this regard, Sunil Gupta and Ajit Sinha jointly submitted a demand letter on Friday to Potka assembly constituency MLA Sanjeev Sardar for installation of a new motor pump set.
In the demand letter submitted, Sanjeev Sardar recommended and immediately asked Executive Engineer of Drinking Water and Sanitation Department Sumit Kumar to take necessary action for installing the new motor.
Thereafter, an estimated amount of Rs 12,60,370 including starter has been prepared by Sunita Kumari Samant, mechanical executive engineer of Drinking Water and Sanitation Department.
For this work, technical approval has also been given on the estimate prepared by Superintending Engineer Drinking Water and Sanitation Mechanical Zone, Ranchi.
MLA Sanjeev Sardar has also assured to install a new pump motor pump set after talking to the district authority in this regard. Sunil Gupta said that until the construction work of Bagbera Housing Colony Water Supply Scheme is completed, the problem of frequent burning of motor will be solved by installing a new motor pump set as an alternative arrangement.
