New team of Lions Club of Jamshedpur Tatanagar installed

Jamshedpur: The new team of Lions Club of Jamshedpur Tatanagar for the coming Lionistic year 2014 – 2015, beginning July 1, was installed on Saturday on the occasion of its 29th installation function to be held at Singhbhum Homeopathy Medical College auditorium at Sakchi.

This year the team is led by Mithilesh Kumar, commercial tax officer with Sushma Rani Lenka, principal, Prem Jyoti Prangan School as the secretary. For the first time a government officer will be leading the club this year and also for the first time a lady will officiate as the Club secretary.

R M Lall, Joint Commissioner, Commercial Taxes, graced the occasion as the chief guest while Lion Sudipto Mukherjee, Past District Governor installed the new team.

Three new members Vijay Kumar Singh, sponsored by incoming President Ln Mithilesh Kumar and Atul Ranjan Sahay and Nutan Gupta sponsored by Rajnish Kumar were inducted as members of Lions Clubs today. They were formally inducted into Lions Family by Ln Kanchan Singh, Second Vice District Governor.

As per Club�s decision, Ln Hari Prasad will continue as the Treasurer. P L Agarwal, Prabhakar Singh and Jyoti Pandey will be vice presidents of the Club. Blindness Control Programme will be looked after by Subrato Dey, Lions Quest will be taken care of by Saroja Lotti, while Hema Sinha will promote Women’s Empowerment. Shashi Shekhar Prasad Singh is the new Club Public Relations Officer. D K Ghosh will encourage Blood Donation and Membership Growth will be taken care of by Nupur Das, Club members said.

Club members further said that Rajesh Vasani will be Club Tail Twister and Sarlochan Kaur will be Tamer. Directors of the Club include Ashish Agarwal, Kamal Choudhary, Sanjay Pandey, Subiman Ghosh, Dr Ajit Nayak and Anil Khemka.
