Jamshedpur: In a promising development for travelers commuting between Adityapur and Rourkela, the Indian Railways has announced the introduction of a new MEMU (Mainline Electric Multiple Unit) train service between Tatanagar and Rourkela with stoppage at Adityapur. This addition of train services at Adityapur station is set to enhance the connectivity options for passengers. Although the official commencement date is yet to be confirmed, the South Eastern Railway has released details regarding the train schedule.
According to the notification, the Rourkela-Tata MEMU Express will start its journey at 4.50 am and is scheduled to arrive at Adityapur station at 8.35 am, making a one-minute stop before departing at 8.36 am. Similarly, the Tatanagar-Rourkela MEMU Express will leave Tata at 3.25 pm, reach Adityapur at 3.35 pm, and depart again at 3.36 pm. The new MEMU train will consist of eight coaches and will make stops at Adityapur, Sini, Rajkharsawan, Chakradharpur, Manoharpur, and Bisra while traveling between Tata and Rourkela. This service will operate six days a week, providing a convenient transportation option for passengers in the region.
