Jamshedpur to host Men’s National Tennis Tournament from today

Jamshedpur, Oct 29: Men’s National Ranking Tennis Tournament returns to the tennis courts of the Beldih Club after a long gap of 4 years, since it was last held in November 2019.
The Beldih Club Men’s National Ranking Tennis Tournament, a national ranking professional tennis event (Pro Circuit) under the aegis of the All India Tennis Association (AITA), will be held at the sand-clay courts of the Beldih Club from Monday, 30th October 2023. The event will be spread over a week and will witness some of the top-ranking professionals from across the country. The Winner of the Singles event will get richer by 20 national ranking points whereas the finalist will pocket 15, said All India Tennis Association’s (AITA) eastern region representative Rishi Wilson.
Addressing a press meet at Beldih Club on Sunday, Rishi informed that a record number of States have entered into the championship as participants from 14 different States have registered, namely Rajasthan, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Telengana, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Odisha, Chattisgarh, West Bengal apart from the host State of Jharkhand.
The finalist of the previous leg of the championship in 2019, Abhinansu Borthakur will also been seen in action.
The inauguration ceremony will be held on Monday, October 30 at 7:30 am and at the tennis courts.
Ravi Radhakrishnan, Chief, Aviation Services, Bipul Kumar were also present at the press conference.
DB Sundara Ramam, Vice President, Raw Materials, Tata Steel will inaugurate the championship.
