Jamshedpur: With a new academic year dawning, St. John’s High School kickstarted the 2025–26 session on an inspiring note, hosting a vibrant orientation meeting that witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, parents, and faculty. The session focused on three key pillars of the school’s educational philosophy—English communication skills, effective use of the school diary, and the importance of regular attendance.
The school’s Principal, Ashu Tiwari, addressed the gathering and laid out the vision for the year ahead. Speaking on the occasion, she emphasized that the school is committed to nurturing not just academically sound students, but also confident communicators capable of competing on a global stage.
“Our goal is not just to impart knowledge, but to make students communicative and self-reliant,” Tiwari said. “English communication skills are a necessity today, and we are making it an integral part of school education. English has become the strongest link of communication in today’s era. Our aim is that our students learn to speak and write English with confidence, which will ensure their all-round development.”
Parents were encouraged to actively partner in their child’s growth by embracing the school’s guiding principle—“Kaizen”, which means continuous improvement. The Principal called upon parents to support students in building strong communication foundations and to monitor their academic journey through the school diary.
During the orientation, detailed guidance was provided on how the school diary could serve as an effective communication tool between parents and teachers. Emphasis was placed on its daily use to track assignments, notices, and personal goals.
Another key highlight of the orientation was the discussion around regular attendance. Educators underscored its role in fostering discipline, academic consistency, and better performance. Parents were reminded that daily presence in the classroom contributes significantly to the child’s learning curve and overall development.
