New Jamshedpur DC Karn Satyarthi promises last-mile delivery of welfare schemes

Jamshedpur: IAS officer Karn Satyarthi officially assumed charge as the 25th Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum district today. The handover ceremony took place at the Deputy Commissioner’s office located in the District Collectorate, where outgoing Deputy Commissioner  Ananya Mittal formally transferred responsibilities in the presence of senior officials.

The event was attended by the Deputy Development Commissioner, Project Director of ITDA, SDM Dhalbhum, Additional Deputy Commissioner, officials from various departments, staff members, and media representatives.

The new Deputy Commissioner is BTech, Mining Engineering, from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He has also served as Excise Commissioner Jharkhand and Managing Director, Jharkhand State Beverages Corporation Limited.

Satyarthi, who previously served as the Deputy Commissioner of Gumla, brings with him extensive administrative experience. Upon assuming office, he reaffirmed his dedication to ensuring good governance, holistic development of the district, and efficient implementation of government schemes aimed at public welfare.
Speaking briefly to the media,  Satyarthi said, “The priorities of the state government and public welfare schemes will be effectively implemented in the district. We will ensure that the benefits of these schemes reach the last person in the queue. With collective cooperation, we aim to accelerate development with new energy and clear determination.”

Outgoing DC  Ananya Mittal expressed gratitude to his team for their support during his tenure and extended his best wishes to the new Deputy Commissioner. “It has been an honour to serve the people of East Singhbhum. I am confident that under the capable leadership of  Karn  Satyarthi, the district will continue its journey toward progress and development,” he said.

Mittal also appreciated the contribution of citizens, media personnel, and all officers and employees in ensuring the smooth and peaceful conduct of the recent Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.

“ With a people-centric approach and administrative vision,  Karn  Satyarthi’s leadership is expected to bring renewed momentum to the developmental initiatives in East Singhbhu,” said an official.
