Jamshedpur, Feb 21: A new gym building at the Tinplate Recreation Club, located in the Sports Complex, was inaugurated today under the joint aegis of Tata Steel Limited (Tinplate Division) and the Golmuri Tinplate Workers Union. The facility was formally dedicated to the club in the presence of senior officials and union representatives.

The event was graced by Ujjal Chakraborti, Executive-in-Charge, Tinplate Division, Tata Steel as the chief guest, while Tinplate Union President Rakeshwar Pandey attended as the special guest. The upgraded facility aims to benefit company employees, their families, and local residents by providing improved sports, study, and health-related amenities.

During the inauguration, Ujjal Chakraborti assured full support for the smooth functioning of the club and emphasized the company’s commitment to further enhancing its facilities.
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Sarojati Day, Singh Rajan, Saroj Kumar, and senior management officials. Representing the union were President Rakeshwar Pandey, Club Secretary Parvinder Singh Sohal, General Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh, along with Sai Babu Raju, Jagjit Singh, Sanjay Kumar, Amrit Jha, Niranjan Mahapatra, and many others.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Manoj Kumar Singh, marking the occasion as a significant step in promoting health and wellness among the Tinplate community.
