Jamshedpur, Oct 23: Exciting news for train enthusiasts and commuters! The Vande Bharat train is set to receive an upgrade in the form of a new double-engine model. Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) has developed this indigenous technology-based engine, which promises enhanced performance and safety.
Currently, Vande Bharat operates with a single-engine setup, but the new trains will be equipped with distinct engines and bogies. The driving seats in these double-engine Vande Bharat trains will feature improved facilities for both the crew and passengers.
The construction of the new engine is nearing completion, and it will soon be dispatched to the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) for installation in the Vande Bharat trains. This transformation is expected to not only boost the train’s speed but also make it a safer mode of travel.
