Jamshedpur, Jan 23: On the occasion of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s birth anniversary, the Sreeleathers family organized a programme at its Bistupur K Road showroom on Tuesday. The director of Sreeleathers, Shekhar Day, along with followers of Netaji’s ideologies, members of various social organizations, and prominent citizens, lit candles in front of Netaji’s portrait and offered floral tributes.
In his address, Shekhar Day stated, “Netaji’s thoughts are still as relevant today as they were earlier. The path he showed and the ideas he embraced led the country to independence. His contribution can never be forgotten. Netaji gave utmost importance to nationalism in his thoughts. He always wanted reservation benefits to reach those who genuinely needed it, rather than the creamy layer. According to Netaji, the basis of reservation should be poverty. Netaji always aspired for a powerful India and aimed to lead the country forward.”
