Need-based contract teachers seek permanent status and extended service age

Jamshedpur, Nov 3: A delegation of contract-based need-based teachers met with MLA Saryu Roy, presenting a demand letter.

Their requests include the regularization of their honorarium, an extension of the service age to 65 years, and advocacy for these demands to the Education Department Secretary. MLA Saryu Roy has voiced his support for the contract teachers, emphasizing their valuable teaching experience and advocating for their permanent placement in universities until the age of 65, with all accompanying benefits.

A letter addressing these concerns has been sent to the Education Department Secretary, and the MLA has also discussed the matter via phone.
