NCC celebrates Kargil Vijay Diwas at Jamshedpur Women’s University

Jamshedpur, July 26: On July 26, Jamshedpur Women’s University’s NCC unit held a series of events to honor the bravery and sacrifice of Indian soldiers on Kargil Vijay Diwas. This day marks the successful completion of Operation Vijay in 1999, when the Indian Army reclaimed the heights of Kargil from Pakistani intruders.

The celebration featured painting and poetry competitions with 35 cadets participating, showcasing their artistic talent and patriotic spirit. The event included a short film on Kargil Vijay Diwas, an emotional play, and an informative lecture by CTO Preeti, all aimed at explaining the significance of the day and paying tribute to the Kargil War heroes.

Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Anjila Gupta praised the cadets’ involvement, highlighting how such programs instill a sense of patriotism and pride among students, while remembering the sacrifices made for the country’s security.
