Ranchi: The Naxalite organisations have weakened in Jharkhand and Bihar these days. And the reason for this has also come to light. Pramod Mishra, a member of the central committee of the CPI-Maoist Naxalite organisation, said that the cadres of the Naxalite organisation have decreased.
New cadres are not being found. Due to this, the shortage of weapons has also reduced and levy is not being collected as much as it should be.
In Jharkhand, Bihar, and Chhattisgarh, new cadres are prepared to strengthen the Naxalite organizations. Some top Naxalite leaders like Misir Besra, Vivek, Anal, Mupalla Laxman Rao, Venugopal, Ravi, and Balakrishna are constantly striving.
During NIA interrogation, Pramod Mishra said that the plan of the Naxalite organisation was to train new cadres in Jharkhand, Bihar, and Chhattisgarh regions, buy arms and ammunition through levies and prepare IEDs. However, the increase in police activity and number of camps made it difficult for him to expand his activities in Naxal-affected areas and his plans are not successful these days. Pramod Mishra is 71 years old. He originally hails from Aurangabad district of Bihar. He was arrested by the police on August 10 and a case was registered against him at the Ranchi NIA. Because of this, he was remanded and brought to Ranchi for training and questioning on weapons.
