Naxalite Butru Soy arrested from Chowka

Seraikela: Police here on Monday arrested suspected Naxalite Butru Soy, an aid of Maoists Maharaj Pramanik and Amit Munda, from Lafaibera village in Chowka. The accused was arrested in the wee hours on the basis of a tip-off.
Seraikela SP Chandan Kumar Sinha said the police team led by SDPO Avinash Kumar arrested Butru Soy in connection with several crimes committed by him in the district. Police had booked Soy for allegedly planting a 20 kg can bomb.
Police had earlier arrested Sitaram Majhi and Mah Singh Sardar of Kalajhor and Udaipur respectively in the same case.
The SP said Soy used to give information to the Naxalites about police activities in the area. On 15th October last, Soy had managed to evade arresting. He said an operation is on to arrest other associates of the accused.
