Ranchi: Speaking to the media, Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan Friday said, “The Chief Minister and I are continuously consulting each other. Soon, a big plan will be implemented. We are sure that Naxalism will be rooted out from Jharkhand soon.”
After paying respect to the soldier, the Jharkhand Chief Minister stated that the CRPF jawan died during the Naxal operation and that his sacrifice will not be in vain.
“A CRPF jawan lost his life during the Naxal operation. It is a matter of sadness for us but a matter of pride for us that our soldier sacrificed his life to make our state Naxal free. His sacrifice will not go in vain,” Jharkhand CM Soren said.
On Thursday, two CRPF troops, including an inspector-rank officer, were injured in IED blasts during an anti-insurgency operation in the Tonto Thana region of West Singhbhum.
Officials named the deceased as Constable Rajesh Kumar and the injured as Inspector Bhupendra Kumar, both of the CRPF’s 209 Battalion. Earlier in the day, Naxal terrorists assaulted a security force group in the deep jungles near Sarjo Maburu hamlet.
The assault included both gunshots and an IED detonation.
