Jamshedpur, Jan 14: On the occasion of National Youth Day, Nature NGO launched its free mentorship program ‘OXYGEN’ to guide and empower the youth of Jamshedpur. Supported by Mission Blue Foundation, the program aims to provide the right guidance to students, especially from remote areas, to help them achieve their potential.
The event was inaugurated by distinguished guests including Professor Amar Singh, Principal of Cooperative College, Dr. Manish Jha, Chief Scientist of the National Metallurgical Laboratory, Professor Ashok Avichal, Principal of LBSM College, Pragya Singh, Principal of DAV School, and UN Pathak, Editor of Dainik Jagran. They offered flowers and lit a lamp in front of a picture of Swami Vivekananda, symbolizing the spirit of the event.
Dr. Kavita Parmar, Patron of Nature Sanstha, highlighted the importance of the ‘OXYGEN’ program, stating, “This initiative will provide proper guidance not just to city students but also to the youth in rural areas, empowering them to make informed decisions about their future.”
The event was held in hybrid mode, with experts from various industries joining online to share their experiences. Mentors included Anirban Moody, PhD from IIT Delhi, Sahil Sahu, PhD researcher from Israel University, Apoorv Dwivedi, Corporate Lawyer, Dr. Vinita Parmar, Environment Scientist, and Nishant Gupta, Senior Web Developer and Ethical Hacker. They interacted with students, offering career insights and growth advice.
Professor Amar Singh emphasized the need for discipline, stating, “Discipline is the foundation of success.” Pragya Singh gave practical advice on mental wellness, while Dr. Manish Jha encouraged students to focus on what they can contribute to society. UN Pathak reminded them that the period from 11th class to graduation is crucial for building their future.
The program will be held twice a month, alternating between the city and rural areas. It will offer guidance to youth through online and offline modes, with registration via Google Forms.
