Jamshedpur, Sept 18: Srinath University’s much-anticipated three-day technical festival, Techroot 3.0, commenced today with a grand inaugural ceremony, marking its largest edition so far. The event has drawn more than 1,500 students from over 100 schools, colleges, and universities across India, making it one of the most significant technical festivals in the region.
The inaugural session began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Chief Guest Dr. Vinod Belawanshi, Scientist at CSIR-NML, along with Chancellor Sukhdev Mahato, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) S.N. Singh, Associate Dean Academics Dr. Bhavya Bhushan, Dean Administration J. Rajesh, Registrar, senior faculty members, and heads of departments.
In his address, Dr. Belawanshi highlighted Srinath University’s unique identity as a hub of diverse cultures and disciplines. He stressed the importance of research and development in emerging technologies, particularly semiconductors and chip design, predicting that such work could bring global recognition to the university.
Day one of Techroot 3.0 featured competitions such as Bridgekriti, Technical Quiz, Sudoku Puzzle, Solve the Rubrics, and E-Games. Students displayed remarkable technical skills, creativity, and problem-solving ability, leaving the audience deeply impressed.
Chancellor Sukhdev Mahato congratulated the School of Engineering and IT for organizing the event, while Vice Chancellor Prof. Singh commended the students’ innovative models, noting that Srinath University continued to set benchmarks in technical education and research.
The upcoming two days promise further engaging competitions, workshops and innovation-driven activities. The vibrant atmosphere across the campus reflected enthusiasm, creativity and collaborative spirit.
Organizers emphasized that Techroot 3.0 was not only a competitive platform but also a space for young minds to transform their ideas into technological realities. With a strong focus on innovation and teamwork, the festival aimed to inspire the next generation of technocrats.
