National Voters’ Day observed in Jamshedpur, oath-taking ceremony held

Jamshedpur,Jan 25: On the occasion of National Voters’ Day, a voter swearing-in program was organised at the collectorate’s auditorium. The Deputy Development Commissioner Parameshwar Bhagat administered the resolution of Voter’s Day to all the personnel including the senior officials of the district. He said that voting is very important in a democratic system. In order to increase the participation of the people in the elections, the foundation day of the Election Commission of India ’25 January’ is celebrated as National Voters’ Day. Voters’ Day reminds all citizens of India of their duty towards their nation. Participation of every citizen in the voting process is necessary so that our democracy becomes stronger and stronger.

While taking the oath of Voters’ Day, the officials and employees said that we citizens of India, keeping our full faith in democracy, take this oath that we will uphold the dignity of democratic traditions of our country and uphold the dignity of free, fair and peaceful elections. shall exercise his right to vote in all elections without being influenced by religion, class, caste, community, language or any other inducement.

 The residents of the district are requested to go to their nearest polling station and check whether their name is correct in the voter list or not.
