Jamshedpur, March 9: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) organized a National Lok Adalat at the Lok Adalat Hall of the Behavioral Court, Jamshedpur, on Saturday, successfully resolving a total of 12,681 pending cases. The event also saw a revenue collection of Rs 44.59 crore.
Chief District and Sessions Judge Anil Kumar Mishra graced the occasion as the chief guest, along with Chief Justice Family Court Amitesh Lal, Vice President of the State Bar Council Rajesh Kumar Shukla, and District Bar Association Ad hoc Committee member cum senior advocate Jai Prakash.
Addressing the gathering, Principal District Judge Anil Kumar Mishra emphasized the significance of Lok Adalats in the present times, highlighting their role in saving both time and money while ensuring swift resolution of disputes. Rajesh Kumar Shukla, Vice President of the State Bar Council, praised Lok Adalats as an effective platform for justice, particularly benefiting the underprivileged sections of society.
To ensure maximum case resolution, 14 benches were formed in the Behavioral Court during the National Lok Adalat. Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, Nitish Nilesh Sanga, highlighted that all conciliatory cases were settled during the event, covering a wide range of legal matters including Forest Act violations, Electricity Act disputes, Bank Loan issues, and Family Laws among others.
The success of the National Lok Adalat was attributed to the dedicated efforts of panel lawyers, Para Legal Volunteers (PLV), and court personnel, who played pivotal roles in facilitating the resolution of cases and ensuring justice for all segments of society.
